Online Guitar Lessons – How to Learn Guitar
When I got inspired to learn guitar I had no idea where to start exactly. So I did some research online and started learning from this guitar course called Jamorama. It takes you through all the basics such as learning the major and minor chords, how to read tabs, and getting your rhythm down.
But if you truly want to become a great sounding guitar player then you need to learn to get a feel for music. Also developing your ear is very important. I know lots of guitar players out there would rather look up the tabs for guitar songs.
Like I said there is nothing wrong with doing that. But playing guitar becomes more fun and interesting when you practice translating music. Have you ever seen a guitar player listen to a new song and then learn it on their guitar within minutes without tabs? This is what learning how to play is all about.
Of course you need to learn and master the basics. You need to get your hands used to playing. But then after that first stage you will then want to master the skill of transcribing music. This is done by simply listening and playing.
This is the more natural way to learn guitar. Think way back when guys like Hendrix and Page learned guitar. Guitar tabs were not even brought out let alone guitar teachers. They had to learn all by ear. This is what guitar players mean when they say they taught themselves.
But to speed up the learning curve it helps to learn the basics from lessons or a teacher. That is what Jamorama does and it does it for cheap when you compare it to paying for lessons by the hour.
Not only that but it is convenient because you learn from home and only goes over what you need to know in order to progress quickly.
