Jamorama Review

Jamorama is a very straight forward online guitar lessons course. It covers all of the basics of guitar such as the chord structures, major scales, guitar theory, and song lessons. It has really helped me out when I first got inspired to play.

What I liked about Jamorama is that they only taught me what I needed to know in order to understand the fretboard and play songs. Most guitar lesson programs on the internet have way too much information on guitar theory and how to read sheet music which didn’t really interest me.

I just wanted to learn and master the basics. Then go off on my own and learn how to play my favorite music by ear. After all that is how the greats have learned. Most of them didn’t even have guitar lessons to teach them the basics.

They had to figure it all out on their own. With Jamorama guitar lessons you get a boost in your learning curve. There is really no need to learn how to read sheet music or do boring repetitive finger exercises.

All playing guitar is really about is developing that basic understanding of the fretboard which is what Jamorama teaches and then learn how to play songs by listening. That takes a lot of practice but it is well worth it in the long run.

One cool benefit I found with Jamorama is that they have an ear training software that helps you tell the difference between notes just by listening to them. Before you can learn guitar songs by ear you must learn guitar notes by ear.

Jamorama is also a one time fee of about $50 which is really cheap when you compare it to all of the guitar lesson membership sites that charge monthly fees. Taking guitar lessons in person can easily add up as well since they charge at least $15 an hour just to learn the basic chord structures and scales.
