It is fine to start learning songs by looking up the lazy man’s sheet music but after a while it gets pretty old. In order to be a good guitar player you need to start learning tunes by using your ears.

Guitar tabs should only be like training wheels. You only use them in the beginning and then you start to develop a feel for what you are learning whether it be riding a bike or playing music.

If you have ever seen a guitar player pick up a song within seconds that they never heard before then you will have a good idea of what I am talking about. Imagine having a sense for music and being able to match the chords and notes on your guitar so that you don’t even have to look up the tabs for them.

In the beginning you are going to want to use tabs on the internet but the key to becoming a good guitar player is developing a sense for it. You do this by simply listening to songs and then playing them out on your guitar.

It seems daunting at first but as long as you stick with it you will develop your own unique perspective on it. This is actually how people become good guitar players. Use tabs in the beginning to learn songs. Then move onto other things like learning the CAGED theory.

Jamorama is a very straight forward online guitar lessons course. It covers all of the basics of guitar such as the chord structures, major scales, guitar theory, and song lessons. It has really helped me out when I first got inspired to play.

What I liked about Jamorama is that they only taught me what I needed to know in order to understand the fretboard and play songs. Most guitar lesson programs on the internet have way too much information on guitar theory and how to read sheet music which didn’t really interest me.

I just wanted to learn and master the basics. Then go off on my own and learn how to play my favorite music by ear. After all that is how the greats have learned. Most of them didn’t even have guitar lessons to teach them the basics.

When I got inspired to learn guitar I had no idea where to start exactly. So I did some research online and started learning from this guitar course called Jamorama. It takes you through all the basics such as learning the major and minor chords, how to read tabs, and getting your rhythm down.

They don’t ever need guitasr tabs to play songs. They do it all by playing with their ears. They can simply listen to a new song they never heard before and because they sharpened their listening skills they can pick it right up on guitar and play it as if they practiced it for a long time.

The great thing about All ears online guitar lessons is that they teach about this concept. They are video lessons that focus on learning guitar by ear and with feeling. This is a way more natural way to learn guitar and to develop keen musicla skills that all professional guitar players and musicians develop.

But I must warn you that it takes longer to grasp the All Ears method rather than learning tabs. But once you have started to develop an ear for music you will realize your true potential and never go back to tabs.

Imagine having the power to simply listen to a song and play it just about effortlessly on your guitar. This is what these online guitar lessons are all about. Learning with tabs is very limiting as you will never reach the point of playing by ear unless you learn how to listen and decipher chords just by hearing them.

These lessons are done by a guitar teacher who has been playing guitar for a long time. When learning about the guitar there are many aspects to get down such as the basics stuff like scales, tabs, and chords.

Then getting into the more intermediate stuff like learning rhythm, how to play different musical genres, and the CAGED system which is what these online guitar lessons teach.

You may view online guitar lessons for songs but after a while you will want to learn and master guitar by ear. The most basic way of doing this when starting out is learning how to tune your guitar so you will know what a tuned guitar sounds like.

You can learn the basic scales and chords with free online guitar lessons. For example to play the A chord start by placing your index finger on the second fret of the D string. Take your second finger (middle finger) and press on the second fret of the G string. Finally with your third finger press on the second fret of the B string. That is the open A chord.

It is pretty much mandatory to have a feel for music to become a great guitarist. Online guitar lessons can help. Just be careful who you learn from. I hate say it but from my own experience it is hard to find quality online guitar lessons that are free of charge.

You want to learn from a great guitar teacher who knows what he is doing. Anybody who wants to learn guitar has a favorite type of music. Guitarists have different tastes so don’t feel like you need to learn anything you don’t like.

That is an open E chord. When a chord is open is just means that it is played within the first three frets of the guitar with some open strings. The B chord cannot be played as an open chord.
